These Unified Burst Discs have been built according to ASTM  and CGA standards and are guaranteed to keep you safe. A Unified Burst Disc is a safety device that prevents over-pressurization of your air system. If you have a regulator with a dual Unified Burst Disk system, the upstream, or high pressure Unified Burst Disk prevents your tank from over-pressurizing which could lead to a catastrophic failure. The downstream, or low pressure Unified Burst Disc prevents your gun or downstream device from over-pressurizing in the event of regulator failure. In the event of failure you should have your air system inspected to prevent accidental failure again. The Unified Burst Disc is a device designed to blow if the air system has failed.
